How to change your name on Facebook.

There might be numerous reasons as to why one may decide to change their name of Facebook. Perhaps you want people to recognize you by your real name, or your nickname, and in some cases you may have legally changed your name and you want all your friends on Facebook to know. Whatever your reason may be, the process is quite easy, follow this step by step procedure to your advantage.

On PC

Step 1.

Log in to your Facebook account.

Step 2.

Click on the arrow icon, next to notifications and quick help icon, then navigate to settings.

Step 3.

Head to general account settings.

Step 4.

Click on the “edit” option which is next to “name”

Step 5.

Type your new name you want to appear on Facebook. You also have an option of adding a middle name.

Step 6.

Click on “review changes” button, after this step, Facebook will give you an option to decide on how you want your names to appear.

Step 7.

Select the option you like, enter your password and press save changes.

Voila! Your face book name is changed.

 On the Facebook app.

Step 1: Log in to Facebook

Step 2: Press the three horizontal lines on the top right corner.

Step 3: A drop down list will appear, Scroll down to Settings.

Step 4: Select the option of ‘Account settings ‘on the top.

Step 5: “Select general”

Step 6: Select name

Step 7: Type your new name you want to appear on Facebook. You also have an option of adding a middle name.

Step 8: Click on “review changes” button, after this step, Facebook will give you an option to decide on how you want your names to appear.

Step 9: Select the option you like, enter your password and press save changes.

Voila! Your Facebook name is changed.
