How to enhance Windows Defender protection against annoying software?

When some applications are installed on Windows, they are sometimes accompanied by tools and programs that claim to improve performance or add elements such as weather and a new search bar to the web browser, but we often do not notice these applications at the installation process because they are often included in a small font in the installation window. It can block these programs and tools but does not do so in the default mode, while some other antivirus applications block them.
These programs are known as Crapware, which is technically not malicious software, but some call them "malicious programs in legitimate suit" because they cause inconvenience to the user and sometimes affect performance.
By setting Windows Defender to block these applications, it will enhance application installation security by blocking Crapware applications when installed, and pointing them to "potentially unwanted software". The log of these applications can be found by going to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Security > Virus and Threat Protection> Threat History> Click to see the entire log.
However, the Howtogeek team found that Windows Defender does not block the installation of all associated applications, but only some of them. However, activating the block option is highly desirable to enhance security. To do this: Right-click Windows icon and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) Or search for the program, and enter the command:
Set-MpPreference -PUAProtection

To make sure the feature is activated, enter the following command once. If the number 1 appears, the feature is activated. If 0 appears, it is still disabled.
$ Preferences = Get-MpPreference
$ Preferences.PUAProtection
