In this article, we are going to learn what your
mobile phone can do in a number of different occasions. In grave emergencies,
your phone could be a lifesaver, take a look.
Emergency services.
If by any chance you find yourself out of the coverage
area of your mobile phone network and there is an emergency, dial 112, your
phone will automatically search for any existing network in your area to
establish the emergency number for you. Isn’t this great? And more interestingly,
this emergency number (112) can be dialed even when the keypad is locked. This
number works on all phones globally and it is
toll-free.
In-case you locked your keys in the car.
If you own a remote keyless car and it happens that
you have locked the keys in the car and the spare keys are at your home, Call
someone at home on their mobile phone from your phone, hold your mobile phone
about a foot from your car door and ask the person to press the unlock button
on the spare key holding it near the phone on their end, your keyless remote
car will unlock instantly. This method actually saves you the time of having someone drive the keys to you.
Distance is no obstacle, you could be miles away, and
it works.
I didn’t believe it until I tried it.
Is your phone battery flat?
Did you know that your phone has hidden battery power?
Well, now you know!
To activate this service, press the keys 3370# (remember
the asterisk) Press the keys above when your phone battery is almost dead. Your
mobile phone will start in a special way with this new reserve and it might
show up to a 50% charge increment. This reserve will be recharged the next
time you charge your mobile phone. Give it a try.
Disable a stolen phone.
Some of us have lost our mobile phones on different occasions, some might decide to
bury the hatchet while others may decide to take a step. I recommend taking a
step, by taking a step I mean disabling the phone.
The first step towards disabling the phone is to
acquire the phones serial number. To check the phones serial number, key in the
following digits on your mobile phone: #06# (not forgetting the asterisk) a 15
digits code will appear, that is unique to your handset. write it down and take
it to your service provider, they will be able to block the phone, even if the sim
is changed, the phone will be absolutely useless to the user. Although you
don’t get your phone back, at least it can’t be used or resold either. This
code (serial number) was created to prevent phones from being stolen and if
everyone did this, there would be no point of people stealing mobile phones.
Thank you.
